Flu Vaccines

Ardleigh Surgery is now taking bookings for Flu vaccines.

The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to people who:
50 years and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2022)
Pregnant
In long-stay residential care
Receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
Live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
Frontline health or social care workers

Have certain health conditions such as:
• Respiratory conditions (needing steroid inhaler or tablets)
• Diabetes
• Heart conditions
• Chronic kidney disease
• Liver disease
• A learning disability
• Neurological conditions such as Parkinsons, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Cerebral Palsy
• Problems with your spleen or had your spleen removed
• Weakened immune system as result of conditions such as HIV and AIDs or taking steroid tablets or chemotherapy
