Helping Hands

WHH was formed in 2010 as a community help scheme and provides service to the people of Wivenhoe, transporting them to doctors, dentist, hospital, hairdresser appointments, or anything within reason that they need help with. All volunteers are DBS checked and able to claim mileage. WHH are always in need of volunteers, try not to call you more than once a week and any job can be refused without reason.

The service is financed by donations from clients.

Free Hearing Check

Using a simple testing device called a hearing screener, it shows how well someone is hearing across four sound frequencies (from low to high pitched). The results of this simple test will indicate whether a more thorough hearing check is required.
